Moonshot: Critter Launch · Last updated July 19, 2026

Moonshot collects no data. None. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking.

Moonshot is a single-player game made by Andrew Girard, an independent developer in the United States. It is built to work completely offline and to keep to itself.

What we collect

Nothing. The app does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information about you. There is no login, no profile, no email capture, no advertising identifier, and no third-party analytics or advertising software of any kind inside the app.

Your game progress

Your progress — distance records, coins, stars, upgrades, unlocked characters, and daily-ritual streaks — is saved in a file on your device. We never send it anywhere, and neither we nor anyone else receives a copy of it. The one exception is entirely under your control: if you back your iPhone up to iCloud or to a computer, that backup includes the game's file along with everything else on the phone, encrypted and governed by Apple's privacy policy — we have no access to it. The app itself has no account and no cloud sync of its own, so deleting the app deletes your progress.

Purchases

Moonshot is free to download and offers a few optional $0.99 extras (cosmetic trails and one bonus character). All purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store using Apple's own in-app purchase system. Apple processes the payment; we never see, receive, or store your credit card number, billing address, or any other payment information. Which extras you own is read from Apple's on-device purchase record, not from us and not from any server.

Network use

The app itself makes no network connections. It does not phone home, has no server, and includes no software that reports usage. The only network activity that can occur is Apple's own App Store communication when you make or restore a purchase, which is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Children

Moonshot is suitable for all ages. Because the app collects no data whatsoever, it collects no data from children either.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Since the app collects nothing, we do not expect meaningful changes.
